Opium Group’s New South Beach Venue
by Lauren Khalaf
The Opium Group adding yet another venue, Park Avenue Club (a restaurant, lounge and club) to Miami Beach’s growing nightlife scene.
This venue will be located on 2228 Park Avenue in the Collins Park area. If you’re familiar with the vicinity than you’ve certainly seen the four-story building, originally built in 2006. Distinguished architect, Chad Oppenheim, designed the 11,373 square foot building with a two story high open balcony, which starts on the third floor.
Park Avenue Club plans to take advantage of the floors by providing a restaurant on the first floor, a lounge on the second floor and a nightclub on the third. Rumor has it that the fourth floor will be removed in order to concept a two-story high nightclub. Half of the balcony will be enclosed while the other half will be open.
There’s no specific opening date for this butterfly and flower themed venue, although if it’s going to look anything like the butterfly and flower theme inside the Wynn, Las Vegas, we can’t wait.
Park Avenue was a hot spot in the 40’s, and it might be making a come back in South Beach.
